Wild ponies and a flurry of avian life help to make Chincoteague Island a nature lover’s dream and an artist’s muse. Pick up your palette and join local artists and naturalists for studies of the island’s coastal landscapes, wildlife refuge and native animals. Whether you love to paint in oils, watercolors or acrylics, you’ll enjoy opportunities to paint en plein air as well as in informative classroom sessions. Enjoy traditional island cuisine, take a field trip to the home of a local artist and learn about the architecture of the Assateague Channel and Lighthouse. Delight in an opportunity to share your work during a final art show with your peers.
